Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT)
The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) provides the student with competencies needed in clinical practice, patient care, leadership or management roles in a general healthcare facility, such as a hospital, clinic, medical office, home care, pulmonary rehabilitation, senior care facility, or sleep lab. The curriculum includes courses on leadership, disease management, disaster management, quality management, gerontology, multicultural healthcare and research. The goal of the program is to provide graduates the knowledge, skills and attributes to prepare them for advanced practice in respiratory care in a clinical, leadership or educator role. The BSRT program is a bachelor completion program delivered entirely in an online format for respiratory therapists currently working in the field. Students have the option to request and attend a face-to-face interactive discussion or hands-on in the respiratory therapy ICU labs, or in the Interdisciplinary Simulation Center.
