MUSA 1000 Applied Lessons (Secondary): 1 semester hour.

Applied music lessons for non-majors, for prospective majors not yet meeting required proficiency level, or for majors studying additional applied music. PRE-REQ: Previous musical study/experience. F, S

MUSA 1100 Applied Lessons (Major/Minor): 1 semester hour.

For students in non-performance Music major (BA/BS, lower-division BCM, BME) or minor. Level may be repeated up to 3 times without petition. PRE-REQ: Audition for the Music Department. F, S

MUSA 1140 Music Lessons Secondary Organ: 1 semester hour.

MUSA 1141 Applied Music Lessons Organ: 1-3 semester hours.

For students with a Music or Music Education major or minor. Music Education students take for 1 credit; Music Performance students take for 2-3 credits per semester. May be repeated.

MUSA 1199 Experimental Course: 1-6 semester hours.

The content of this course is not described in the catalog. Title and number of credits are announced in the Class Schedule. Experimental courses may be offered no more than three times with the same title and content. May be repeated.

MUSA 3395 Applied Commercial Music: 1-3 semester hours.

Applied commercial lessons are offered after completing the junior standing, and entail individualized lesson training focusing on popular and commercial applications of musical style and performance. Students will be directed to the appropriate instructor based on their instrumental background and interests. Repeatable up to 12 credits. PREREQ: Junior Standing Level. F, S
