B.S. Dental Hygiene Completion Program
The Baccalaureate degree completion program is intended for licensed dental hygienists who have graduated from an entry-level dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). The 100% online Baccalaureate degree completion program will provide entry-level dental hygienists with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, preparing them to pursue further education and career growth including research, public health, and education.
Program Admissions Requirements
Students must be accepted to Idaho state University, have a dental hygiene license, and a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher to be accepted into the BS degree completion program. Admissions for the program is “open enrollment”, which means a student can apply at any time. Academic Standards
To enroll in upper division courses with a dental hygiene prefix (DENT), students must be accepted for admission to the dental hygiene BS degree completion program. Each student is responsible for completing the required course work in proper sequential order. To be eligible for graduation the student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.25 in course work completed in the BS degree completion program. Course work for which the student receives a grade below “C-” (C minus) will not be accepted as fulfilling requirements for the Department of Dental Hygiene. The department chairperson must approve any deviation from these standards. No pre-requisite courses are required for entry into the BS degree completion program.
