12 credits from any combination of languages offered by the department or the equivalent demonstrated competency. With permission from Global Studies advisor, up to 6 credits of GLBL 2205: Study abroad (non-English speaking countries) may be used for language credits.12

The Global Health and Environment Concentration12
This concentration helps students understand global trends in public health and/or the natural environment. Students pursuing this concentration prepare for careers in global public service with international health and/or environmental non-profits and inter-governmental organizations. Choose twelve (12) credits of upper division courses identified as global health and environment courses that have not been used to fulfill another program requirement or speak to your major advisor about what other courses may be used. Additionally, the senior thesis/capstone must be on a topic in global health and environment to be approved by the advisor.
