Public Humanities Certificate
The Public Humanities is a growing field that aims to make academic programs more public-facing, and thereby more responsive to community need, giving students the necessary skills to address complex public challenges in diverse professional settings. Public Humanities degree and certificate programs expose students to interdisciplinary coursework that emphasizes the use of humanities-based skillsets toward matters of public utility. By providing coursework that emphasizes professional writing, public administration, community planning, and grant writing, a Public Humanities Graduate Certificate can help Idaho State University graduate students further their professional goals by preparing them for a wide range of career options that put humanities knowledge to practical use.
