Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Academic Certificate
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Academic Certificate is for students with an AA, AS; a BA, BS, or higher degree in fields unrelated to Communication Sciences and Disorders. The SLPA Academic Certificate Program consists of coursework that will provide the content and clinical experience needed to become an SLPA. The Academic Certificate provides evidence of completion of the required courses from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) to be eligible to take the ASHA SLPA Exam and will lead to Idaho licensure as a SLPA.
