B.S. Fire Services Administration
27-30 upper division credits required in the major.
Lower division (AS requirements)1, upper division, and electives must total a minimum of 120 credits.
Fire Service Administration majors may earn either a bachelor of science degree in Fire Service Administration without a minor or a bachelor of science degree in Fire Service Administration with a minor in Emergency Management.

Students must complete all 18 credits of the FSA Core Requirements, 9 credits of the FSA Non-Core Electives, and 30-33 credits of Free Electives. The FSA Internship is required for students with less than 5 years in Fire Services.

AAS Fire Science Transfer Students
Per standard ISU policy, students with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science or Fire Services Technology may utilize up to 60 lower-division credits from their AAS to satisfy the 120 credit requirement for the Bachelor of Science in Fire Services Administration degree.
This course requirement can be waived for students who have completed an AS or a BS degree. FSA 2250 is designed for students who have an AAS in Fire Science.
Courses leading toward the Minor in Emergency Management are recommended, but OPTIONAL, to meet the 30-33 Free Elective credits.
